If I sound like the chamber of commerce for Namibia and Africa, I guess I sorta am. It is important to me to connect to nature and shed the modern-day trappings that keep most of us from the things important for our health, both mental and physical. Africa has been good to me and I have some of the best friends in the world there and enjoy every moment I am “in country”. I merely want to spread the word for two reasons. First off, wild Africa is not like anywhere else. If it were not for the dollars spent by tourists, and more importantly hunters, it would disappear and quickly. The second reason is a little more selfish, I guess. I want wild Africa to be there and the same, as it was when I discovered it, to be there for my children and future grandchildren to discover. It is now a truly remarkable place, and I hope it will be forever.
