Argentina 2013: A Wonderful Hunt and Fantastic Vacation part 2

by david on July 23, 2013

My brother, Doug, and nephew Lee made it to my house at 12:30 pm, and we wasted little time as we headed to the airport.  We got to the terminal about 1:15 and in plenty of time to make our flight to Atlanta.  It is a good thing we were early because my brother and nephew left their carry-on bags in the trunk and Doug had to go back to the park and ride lot to retrieve them.  Lee and I were able to check in at the kiosk and get our boarding passes while we waited on Doug to get back.  He made it back in 15-20 minutes and retrieved his documents and we headed for the line to check in our baggage.

Checking in the baggage was a new experience.  There were less than a half-dozen people in the line in front of us, but the line was not moving.  It did not take long to figure out why.  There was a family of five at one of the check-in stations completely gumming up the whole works.  I did not know what the problem was, but they were monopolizing not one, not two, but three agents.  That left two to check in everyone else.  It took us 45 minutes to check our bags and head through security.  We must have used up our waiting quota for this leg of the trip as we zoomed through security and met up with the rest of our group.

Bob and John were not related to me by birth, but we may as well be brothers by choice.  We like most of the same things and usually are together for some sort of activity between 12 and 20 times a year.  We have fun, no matter where we go and what we are doing, and I count myself lucky to be included in their group of friends.  Doug is a regular at duck with the three of us, and Lee was able to join us last year, so everyone knew each other.  This should be a great trip.
