Some of you may not be familiar with the term “customs broker”, so I’ll take a quick paragraph to explain. In the simplest terms, a customs broker is someone that will help you import an item into the United States. They will fill out the paperwork to clear the item through customs and the USDA (in the case of a trophy animal, finished or raw). Then the item(s) is shipped straight to your doorstep or taxidermist. While the service is not free, it is a good deal. Unless you have the time and inclination to travel to a USDA-equipped Customs facility and spend a day or so completing paperwork, a customs broker is worth every penny.
