Please forgive my shabby attempt at a blog post this Thursday. I have been covered up moving my youngest daughter home from UNC and I haven’t had time to come up with a proper post. What I thought I would do is share my flight schedule with you. Contrary to popular belief getting to Africa is not as difficult as most people believe. All I did was to call the good folks at Gracy Travel and let them know my preferred route and alakazam I have my flights arranged and all I have left to do is send them a check and show up where and when I am supposed to. They even helped me upgrade to Delta’s economy comfort seating. I wanted to go through Frankfurt, Germany so I could get a day room and get out of the airport for a few hours. I have not booked the hotel yet, but I think I will be staying at the Hotel Mercure about two miles from the airport. There is a free shuttle so getting back and forth is no problem. After a trans Atlantic flight a hot shower, a bed and some non airport food will be a welcome break. Look over the schedule and see for yourself just how simple it is.
