My darling bride gave me a book for my birthday. “The Little Red Book of Hunters Wisdom” By Jay Cassell and Peter Fiduccia is a collection of quotes that I want to share with all of those who are of kindred spirit. I am not trying to start arguments or problems, just share some thoughts. I will try to post one per day… and I’ll start with one of my favorites. Enjoy.
Quote of the day:
“In a civilized and cultivated country, wild animals only continue to exist at all when preserved by sportsmen. The excellent people who protest against all hunting and consider sportsman enemies of wild life, are wholly ignorant of the fact that in reality the genuine sportsman is by all odds the most important factor in keeping wild creatures from total extermination.”
Theodore Roosevelt (1905)
